Aero Types allow you to organize your firm's work and time in Aero. They are the types of work your firm does (not the individual tasks themselves).
For example, an outsourced accounting firm might have the following Aero Types: Client OnBoarding, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Close Period, Quarterly Review Calls, HR, Bank Reconciliation, Sales Tax Return, Use Tax Return, Admin or Overhead. Often, but not always, your Aero types will closely mirror your Service Items.
How to Create a New Aero Type
- From the Aero Settings menu, choose Aero Types
- Click the Add New button
- When you're done, click Save & Close or Save & New to continue adding Aero Types
- Here is a detailed explanation of the fields on the screen:
Type *Required | The Aero Type name. |
Service Item | This matches the Service Items from your accounting software with your Aero Types. Matching Service Items may be necessary for your QuickBooks Online or T-Sheets sync. Choose a Service Item from the dropdown list. New Service Items are created in your accounting software, not in Aero. |
Class | This matches the Classes from your accounting software with your Aero Types. Matching Classes may be necessary for your QuickBooks Online or T-Sheets sync. Choose a Class from the dropdown list. New Classes are created in your accounting software, not in Aero. |
Active | If the box is checked, the Aero type is currently active and will show in the Aero type drop-down menu in the Aero screens. |
